Compressed files transferred more quickly to other systems than uncompressed files. You can easily compress your files on your Android device by using the app
Open ES File Explorer File Manager and navigate to the file you want to compress.
Long press on the folder or file that you want to compress. Long press enables multiple selection option too. If you want to select multiple files or folders just tap on your desired files. After doing this tap on "More" and select "Compress" from the options.
On “ES Zip Viewer” dialog box, type file name for your zip file or leave it if you don't wish to change its name. You will see “zip” and “7z” options just below the “file name field. By default zip is selected, but somehow if “7z” is selected then you need to tap on the radio button before the “zip”. Specify the “compression level” and type password if you wish to protect the zip file. After finishing it tap on “OK” button.
After finishing the compression process successfully, you will redirected to the folder containing the files you added to the zip file. The newly created zip file is also listed in the same folder.
